Alandra Tinto

This is an easy-drinking red from Esporão, one of the better-known producers in the Alentejo. It is bright ruby in the glass with red fruit on the nose, specifically cherry and ripe plum. On the palate, it is soft, round, and juicy with gentle tannins and a clean finish. It is a good bottle for a table that wants a red everyone will enjoy. It works with the francesinha, the broad beans with chorizo, and the croquettes, and it holds up next to the bacalhau too. Serve it slightly cool.
