Alandra Tinto

This is an easy-drinking red from Esporão, one of the better-known producers in the Alentejo. It is bright ruby in the glass with scents of red fruit, cherry, and ripe plum. The palate is soft, round, and juicy with gentle tannins and a clean finish. It is a good choice for a table that wants a red everyone will enjoy. It works with the francesinha, broad beans with chorizo, and croquettes, and it holds up next to the bacalhau too. Serve it slightly cool.
